Upstairs Sneak Peak

I've certainly been talking about it enough. I bet you're all wondering what the hell my upstairs looks like. We're nearing the end of this giant project- going from a large empty open second floor to a two bedroom one bath fully fledged upstairs. Yesterday my husband bought the wall paint- Benjamin Moore's Paradise Beach, incase you're wondering, and I believe he is priming the drywall in the master bedroom as we speak. I've spent the last two weeks mudding and sanding drywall. I've decided it's the second most unpleasant part of the process. Most unpleasant was hanging the insulation- never again.
We're doing the same paint color for the entire upstairs to keep the space feeling cohesive and uncluttered. The bead board ceilings you see in the photos are in the entire upstairs. We're planning to whitewash those. The trim will be true white. I'll be sanding floors in about a week, and then they'll be the same dark walnut stain as the downstairs. But here's just a little peak at the end of our hallway.
Hope you have a great Wednesday!
Benjamin Moore's Paradise Beach

Our dear friend Shane, who has been helping us every step of the way built that beautiful column to hide the large cast iron pipe that runs floor to ceiling there. He purposely made the column mission style, to match the 1923 vintage of the house.

The plant is a Meyer Lemon tree, the painted stand is antique (c.1930) , found at the local flea market last summer. That amazing turquoise is it's original  paint. The light fixture is from home depot. We used them in the guest bedroom, two in the hall, on in the bathroom. As you'll see soon, the bathroom and Master Bedroom also have chandeliers. :)
