A Chippendale Lowboy

This wonderful vintage cedar chest was made by Lane in about 1940-1955. I picked it up last weekend at the flea market. The lines of the piece are irresistible. It's in the style of a mid 18th century Philadelphia lowboy- carved shell, ball and claw feet, the works. I refinished the top, which had seen better days, and painted the case the softest shade of dove gray with a custom mix of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, I lightly distressed it to really bring out the wood work, and then waxed and buffed it.
This one's going up on craigslist, so shoot me an email if you want first dibs.
Before and Afters below. Happy Sunday!
